Issue

  • Dishwasher displays error code i30
  • Dishwasher beeps 3 times, or the LED flashes 3 times
  • Dishwasher drain pump runs constantly (background hum/rumbling noise low down)
  • Dishwasher leaking constantly
  • The anti-flood device is on (hence pump running)

Applies to

  • Integrated dishwasher
  • Freestanding dishwasher

Resolution

Error message i30 may indicate an internal leak, caused by water collecting in the base of the appliance. In this case, a visit by an authorised service technician is recommended.

It is possible that after leaving the machine for several hours, or overnight (with the water supply turned off), the error may disappear and the programme will run again. However, if the source of the leak into the base has not been rectified, it is likely that the i30 error will return.

If the following steps do not resolve the issue, please contact us to arrange a repair.

What You Can Try First

  1. Close the water tap.
  2. Make sure that the appliance is correctly installed, including proper leveling.
  3. Make sure the baskets are loaded as instructed in the user manual - Do not place large items (e.g., oven trays) in a way that blocks the spray arm from rotating.
  4. Make sure the filters, spray arms, and sump are clean.
  5. Make sure the door gasket is clean and undamaged.
  6. Disconnect the dishwasher from the power supply and leave it turned off overnight (keep the water tap closed).
  7. Reconnect the dishwasher, then open the water supply – if the program runs without interruption, the issue has likely been resolved.
  8. If error code i30 appears again, close the water tap and contact us to arrange a repair.

Warning: Turn off the dishwasher's water supply to avoid any risk of flooding.

Cause

  • Over foaming:

On some occasions, excess foam inside the tub can lead to incidents of i30. If this is the case, switch off the dishwasher at the mains, leaving it overnight to allow the foam to disperse, then refer to our article Foam in my Dishwasher for more advice on this topic.

  • Spray arm rotation impeded or large item deflecting water jet:

Occasionally a large item may block or impede the spray arm rotation, leading to water being sprayed consistently in one position only, this may put undue pressure on one area of the door seal and lead to inundation and leaking in that particular area. Check the loading and ensure the spray arms can rotate freely and that no unusually large item is either blocking movement, or perhaps deflecting water spray into a corner of the dishwasher, or back onto the internal door panel. After adjusting the load and/or removing the large item, leave the machine off overnight to allow the base to dry out a little and try again the next day.

  • Leaking:

It may indicate an internal leak leading to the water collecting in the base of the appliance. In this case, a visit by an authorised service technician will be required.
