The Scandinavian tradition of fika is for everyone to enjoy. Use your steam oven to elevate your favourite baked goods.
Fika favourites
Steam is excellent for sweet breads such as muffins and sponge cakes. It helps lift the bread and gives it the air it needs. Get a crispy outside and moist inside.
Recipe: English Blueberry Muffins
Ingredients for the dough (A)
350gr all purpose flour, 115gr brown sugar, 20gr baking powder (for sweet products)
Ingredients for the dough (B)
2 whole eggs, 200gr blueberries, 370gr whole milk, 90gr melted butter.
Preparation: 15 mins
Accessories: Individual aliminium muffin cups
Sift the flour, sugar and baking powder into a bowl. In another bowl, boeat the eggs with the milk, the cold melted butter and the blueberries.
A. Pour the liquid mixture (B) into the mixture of dry ingredients (A) and stir just enough to blend the ingredients.
B. Pour the dough into buttered muffin cups and bake in the lower part of the oven.
Bake at Humidity Low 170°C for 25-30 mins
