How to use the Steam programme on your Electrolux tumble dryer
Resolution
Steam helps to remove odours like the outdoor air. Decreases or removes creases. Makes the pieces of clothing more flexible. The pieces of clothing after the steam programme are easy to iron.
At the end of the steam cycle clothes come out with a residual humidity appropriate for ironing.
Selected tumble dryers from Electrolux include a Steam programme.
Items suitable to use with the Steam programme on your tumble dryer
Use steam with
Cotton and synthetic items. Additionally, selected models have a dedicated steam programme for cashmere and wool items.
Don’t use steam with
Items to be washed at a temperature lower than 40°C, items unsuitable for tumble drying, items labelled “Dry clean only”, or items with plastic, metal or wooden parts. Also, don’t use steam for silk, leather, or synthetic leather items.
How to use the steam programme on your tumble dryer
- Select the ProSteam programme.
- Check the water level. If the indicator is on, fill the steam water tank:
- Pull out the water container, and keep it in a horizontal position
- Fill it with distilled or demineralised water until it reaches the maximum level
- Put back the water container.
3. Place the garment into the dryer, or leave it inside if you have a washer-dryer.
4. Select the desired steam level.
5. Press Start/Pause.
After the steam cycle, clothes come out humid and ready for ironing. If you are not ironing, immediately hang the garments to dry.
Important
- If necessary, remove stains by washing or using localised stain removal.
- Steam programmes do not perform any hygienic cycle.
- We don’t recommend fabric softener sheets with a steam cycle as it may cause staining on clothes.
