How to take care of your Electrolux robot vacuum cleaner

Resolution

By taking good care of your Electrolux robot vacuum cleaner, it will last longer and perform better. Clean it regularly so it will continue to clean your home and maintain optimal suction power.

Emptying the dustbin

1. Press the release button to open the lid on your robot vacuum.
2. Remove the dustbin. Hold it upright to prevent dust from falling out.
3. Open and empty the dustbin in the trash.
4. Check that there is no remaining dust in your robot vacuum, then put it back.

Cleaning the filters

There are two filters: one removable and one non-removable.

1. Open the lid and remove the dustbin to access the filters.
2. Remove the filter.
3. Clean the internal mesh filter (non-removable) by brushing it off with the brush that came with the product.
4. Brush off the removable filter with the same brush.
5. Rinse the removable filter under cold water (maximum 40°C).
6. Let it dry for 24 hours before putting it back.

We recommend cleaning the filter every 5th use and replacing it after 6 months.

Cleaning the side brush

• Always make sure the brush can rotate freely.
• Regularly remove entangled threads and knots from your brush.
• Clean your brush by putting it in a bucket of hot water (not boiling). This can help remove tangles and straighten the bristles. Let your brush cool and dry completely before putting it back.
• Clean the mounting points that the side brushes are mounted on. Use the brush that comes with the product.

Cleaning the brush roll

Make sure the brush roll can rotate freely by cleaning it regularly. Here’s how:

1. Turn the robot vacuum upside down.
2. Remove the brush lid and pull out the roll brush.
3. Clean the brush and bearings by removing dirt or hair by hand. Tangled threads can be removed with scissors.

Cleaning the glass in front of the sensor

The robot has an infrared sensor that detects the environment around it. The sensor works best if the glass in front of it is kept clean and free from scratches.

Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the glass from dust. If it’s very dirty, you can use a mild detergent to clean it.

Cleaning the wheels

1. Remove entangled hairs or threads from the main wheels so they can turn freely.
2. If the front wheel gets stuck, remove it carefully using a small screwdriver and clean the wheel.

Cleaning the air channel

1. Remove the dust container.
2. Remove clogged debris in the air channel.
3. Put the dust container back into place.

Cleaning the charging connectors

Use a dry, soft cloth to regularly clean the charging connectors on the charging base and under the machine.
