Electrolux bagless vacuum cleaner care guide: Do's and Don’ts
Resolution
Regular cleaning and maintenance help maintain good suction and keep your Electrolux bagless vacuum cleaner working efficiently. Follow these simple do’s and don’ts to keep your appliance in great condition.
Dustbin maintenance
The do’s
- Do empty the dustbin regularly. Remove it from the vacuum cleaner and empty the contents into a bin to maintain good airflow.
- Do rinse the dustbin when needed. Use water to remove any remaining dirt, then wipe it dry with a clean cloth or leave it to air-dry completely before putting it back.
The don’ts
- Don’t put a wet or damp dustbin back into the vacuum cleaner. Make sure it’s completely dry before putting it back.
Filter care
The do’s
- Do clean washable filters every month. Rinse the dirty inner side of the mesh and pre-motor filters with lukewarm tap water.
- Do gently tap the filter frame after rinsing. Repeat the rinsing and tapping process 4 times to help remove trapped dirt and excess water.
- Do check the type of fine-particle filter you have. Look for the reference code on the filter frame and follow the cleaning or replacement instructions for that specific filter.
- Do secure the filter lid after cleaning or replacing filters. Press it firmly until it clicks into place.
The don’ts
- Don’t use cleaning products or touch the delicate filter surface. Rinse washable filters gently with water to avoid damaging the filter material.
- Don’t put damp filters back into the vacuum cleaner. Allow them to air-dry completely at room temperature for 24 hours.
- Don’t use incompatible replacement filters. Choose original Electrolux s-filters or genuine replacement filters recommended for your model.
Nozzle and battery care
The do’s
- Do clean the nozzles regularly. Disconnect them from the tube and use the suction from the hose handle to remove trapped dust and debris.
- Do replace the batteries when the nozzle lights flash rapidly. If your vacuum cleaner has a Universal nozzle with lights, this indicates that the batteries need replacing.
The don’ts
- Don’t pull tangled hair from the Turbo nozzle brush roll. Carefully cut away hair and threads with scissors to avoid damaging the brush.
- Don’t ignore signs of low batteries in the handle controls. Replace the batteries if the indicator turns red or the controls stop responding.
A little regular maintenance goes a long way. Keep your bagless vacuum cleaner in great condition with replacement filters and accessories.
