Resolution
If the cooker hood does not start, it would indicate an issue with either the socket, the plug, or the electrical circuit of the appliance.
The first thing that we would recommend checking would be whether the socket is still working.
If the hood is plugged into a socket, try connecting a small appliance (e.g. a lamp or a kettle) to that socket to check whether it works.
If the appliance doesn't work:
- There might be an electricity-related problem specific to the socket.
- Check the circuit breaker or fuses.
- If you have checked the circuit breaker or fuses, we would recommend contacting a qualified electrician to investigate the issue with the socket further.
If the power supply works:
- Reset the cooker hood by disconnecting or removing the plug from the socket. Then wait 30 seconds and insert the plug back / restore the power to the hood. If this doesn't resolve the issue, we recommend booking an authorised service visit. This would suggest that there is an electrical issue with the appliance. Unfortunately, for health and safety reasons, we cannot provide instructions on how to repair electrical faults like this.
